Boutique Burlesque presents, ' This is Burlesque,' featuring Gina Stirling, Maple Rose and Ella Fontaine! 

Join us for a decadent affair of burlesque, dance and theatre. During the show you will be swept back to the Golden era of burlesque where you will witness vintage tease and glorious classic costumes, feather fans and boas galore to then be fast forwarded to a new era of burlesque including neo burlesque and burlesque inspired acts of dance, song and comedy. 

Dress your best, forget the rest and immerse yourself in a two hour sparkling show of tassels, tease and temptations!

International, award winning and professional performers Gina Stirling, Maple Rose and your MC Ella Fontaine grace our stage for one night only bringing us some of Australia's best burlesque talent, supported by Miss Bailey-Bliss and the Boutique Burlesque beauties.

About Your Headliners:

Gina Stirling;

Gina has been performing internationally in Burlesque, cabaret and musical theatre for over two decades. One of her career highlights was being voted into 21st Century Burlesques ‘Top 50 Most Influential Burlesque Figures’ in 2021 world wide and headlining Perth International Burlesque Festival 2022.

As well as being a performer, Gina is a freelance life model and a dance teacher at two leading schools in Melbourne. She is extremely passionate about body confidence, sexual empowerment, compersion and seeing her students flourish through dance. Feast your eyes on this femme fatale as she allures you into her world of pleasure.

Maple Rose: 

This beacon of Canadian wonderment, this shimmering Aurora Borealis, has been described as the unwanted lovechild of Tempest Storm and Lucille Ball. She’s Australia’s classiest piece of bacon on stage, but off stage she smashes tinnies like a champ. Chief hobbies include; smothering herself in poutine, drinking maple syrup from a moose skull and playing hockey with her beaver (wink wink). Her favourite food? Well that’s pretty obvious.

She is the one, the only…Miss Maple Rose.

Known as the “Queen of Classic Burlesque”, Maple Rose is a household name in the Australian burlesque scene after 10 years in the industry. She had a brief stint in the Scandinavian Capital, Stockholm, as part of the in-house cast of Stockholm's local speakeasy, Melt Bar & Restaurant in 2016 and toured Europe to participate in numerous festivals. Back in Australia, Maple has toured every major city and produced regular events in Melbourne. She has finally found her forever home at Maison Burlesque as their studio manager, instructor and producer of student events.

Maple won 1st Runner up in Miss Burlesque Australia Grand Final 2018 as well as the title of Miss Burlesque Melbourne 2018. She was voted as one of the most influential Burlesque Artists in the world in the 21st Century Burlesque Magazine’s Top 50 Lists in 2021 & 2022, as well as ‘Best Solo Artist’ and ‘Most Classic’ by her peers for the Australian Industry’s Awards, “The Busties” in 2018. Maple was honoured to headline the the world’s largest burlesque festival in April 2022 - The Australian Burlesque Festival.

She has participated in numerous burlesque festivals including the Australian Burlesque Festival (2014, 2015, 2017 & headlining 2020/22), the Perth International Burlesque Festival (2015), the London Burlesque Festival (2016), the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (2016), The Melbourne Fringe Festival (2017, 2019), the Adelaide Fringe Festival (2017) and Midsumma Festival (2019 & 2020).

Ella Fontaine:

With an entertainment career that spans 17 years; Ella has comprehensive experience in performance and design. This includes strong vocals across a range of genres: blues, rockabilly, rocknroll, swing and soul as front-woman for Australian band The Sugar Shakers. Ella’s first foray into Burlesque, was with The RagTag Revue in 2007, as part of the "double-or-nothing" duo: The Gamble Sisters. With a focus on comedy, singing and classic themed Burlesque, Ella and her identical twin Rita went on to perform regularly with Brisbane's "first generation" of Neo-revival burlesquers; who helped to cultivate and inspire the scene in Brisbane. Ella has since clocked up a considerable amount of time as a burlesque MC, hosting numerous events Across her career including multiple sell-out seasons with Bombshell Burlesque as part of the Powerhouse Wonderland festival, 2-time tour MC for the Australian Burlesque Festival and mainstay MC for Mx Burlesque Queensland.  Ella has designed a sensational portfolio of costumes, including those worn by herself and other performers. 

About Your Producer:

Miss Bailey-Bliss, is the dancing darling of burlesque who hits the stage full of sass, tease and style. Bailey has worked in the entertainment industry for 13 years as both a professional dancer and burlesque performer. She danced in Melbourne for almost four years as a commercial dancer performing at prestigious corporate events, for tv shows such as the Good Friday Appeal, the AFL Footy Show and Thank God Your Here, as a Storm Cheerleader, and Cheerleader in Dubai for the Rugby World Cup 2009 just to name a few of her dance credentials. She then went on to perform for Princess Cruises America, training in LA and sailing the seas in America. Bailey then moved to London and discovered the world of Burlesque, she worked in cabaret club The Green Room for a year and with burlesque company, Cabaret Rouge performing burlesque as both a solo and group artist in London's burlesque and corporate scene. Bailey returned home to Australia and has since performed for Red Bennies, The Australian Burlesque Festival, Bombshell Burlesque, Press Club, Vanguard and for private events in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and North Queensland.

Bailey returned home to Mackay and established Boutique Burlesque by Bailey in 2016 and is honoured to teach her wonderful students the beautiful art of tease. She produces ‘This is Burlesque’ yearly (covid permitting) featuring burlesque headlining acts from all over Australia, local burlesque events with Mackay talent and regular student showcases.

This dancing, full of sass showgirl owns the stage with her high kicks, hair flicks and shaking hips. Don’t blink, don’t flinch, You don’t want to miss, Miss Bailey-Bliss!
