Dreaming of centre stage, but not quite ready for the pressure of creating and performing a solo? Miss Polly Dean has a duo or trio opportunity that may be made for you. Think leopard print meets classic burlesque, set to My Girl’s Pussy by Justin Hurwitz and Li Jun Li. This slinky, playful number combines classic choreography with a boa peel and reveal and plenty of femine feline allure. You’ll begin with a two-hour intensive where Miss Polly Dean will teach the whole numbers choreography and introduce the vision for the number. You’ll also receive costuming links and everything you need to take the routine away and turn it into a performance ready number. From there, the number is yours to rehearse, polish and play with. You’ll have the creative freedom to refine the choreography, build your connection as a duo or trio, and add the details that make the performance feel like your own. We strongly recommend applying as a group with other performers you can confidently meet with to rehearse with between lessons. To assist along the way your booking also grants four weeks of access to the Solo Beauties classes. These sessions give you the opportunity to perform the developing routine in front of a studio teacher and receive feedback, pointers and support before taking it to the stage as part of our Student Showcase. This opportunity may suit you if you: - Want a featured performance without carrying a full solo alone - Feel ready to rehearse independently outside the studio - Enjoy collaborating and creating with other performers - Want guidance and a strong starting point while still having room to experiment - Are ready to commit to polishing the number for the Student Showcase The initial intensive provides the choreography and creative foundation, while the following weeks are designed for independent rehearsal and refinement. Performers will need to organise their own rehearsal time together and purchase the required costume pieces. Please only book once you have confirmed your members. Only one booking is available so please select one person from your proposed group to make the purchase and advise Miss Polly Dean of who will be part of the booking via messenger or email. First class is on October 12th. All must attend this 2hr lesson running from 5:45pm - 7:45pm. From then your group will join the soloist 4 week term evening classes on November 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th time TBC. Performing November 28th.
